We’re looking for an Assistant Relationship Manager (Associate) to join our Sector Coverage team. This is a new role designed to strengthen our ability to serve a broad portfolio of corporate clients across general industries. You’ll work closely with Relationship Managers to deliver high‑quality support across client management, credit processes, deal execution and daily servicing.


The ideal candidate enjoys connecting the dots between client needs, financial products, credit considerations, and seamless delivery. You’ll be part of a team that helps clients stay a step ahead — enabling their growth with confidence and clarity.

Our Sector Coverage team partners with a wide range of corporate clients across diverse industries. We bring together product specialists, credit experts and operational teams to deliver holistic solutions, including lending, trade finance, FX and treasury services.

Responsibilities

  • Support Relationship Managers in managing a portfolio of corporate clients across general coverage sectors.
  • Prepare high‑quality credit proposals, financial analyses, internal memos and approval materials.
  • Assist in the execution of lending, trade finance, FX and other corporate banking products.
  • Coordinate with product partners, credit, compliance and operations to ensure smooth end‑to‑end delivery.
  • Conduct regular KYC/AML reviews and ensure full compliance with ING policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare pitch materials, financial summaries and market research for client meetings.
  • Respond to daily client inquiries and provide operational support to maintain excellent service standards.
  • Track client performance, limit utilisation and risk indicators, escalating concerns when needed.

Job requirements

  • Experience in corporate banking, credit analysis or client coverage roles.
  • Strong analytical skills, including understanding of financial statements and credit fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proactive mindset with a desire to learn, grow and contribute to a team‑oriented culture.
  • Comfort working across multiple products and coordinating execution workflows.
  • Familiarity with KYC/AML requirements is an advantage.
