Your role

Interfood is looking for a Credit Controller to strengthen our credit control team.

As our new Credit Controller, you will be the primary contact for credit checks for our Trade and Supply Chain departments. You will safeguard credit limits in close collaboration with the business control team and credit insurers.

You will also be responsible for processing all cash collections and bank bookings, while proactively contacting relevant external parties to maintain a steady cash flow. You will oversee the credit control process, suggest and implement improvements, and report on credit control data.

Responsibilities

our responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the credit checks with regards to upcoming sales deliveries and all corresponding (internal) contact with Trade and Supply Chain colleagues and working closely together on this with Business Control. (15%)
  • Contact with credit insurers with regards to customer credit limits and the reporting of insured overdue customers. (15%)
  • Proactively working on improvement ideas for further improving the cash conversion cycle. (15%)
  • First point of contact for Credit Control throughout the internal organization of Interfood. (10%)
  • Work on Credit Control data- and KPI visual reporting with the help of Tableau & improve the credit control process. (10%)
  • Process cash collections and (back-up for) daily bank bookings. (10%)
  • Chase overdue customers & contact all relevant end customers, sales agents, traders and other finance departments. (25%)

In this dynamic role, you will be at the center of an international trade organization, with numerous internal and external contacts. You will report directly to the Business Controller.

Job requirements

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in a financial field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Controlling.
  • Experience working in an international environment and collaborating with both finance and non-finance departments.
  • Capable of working on both operational and tactical levels.
  • You get energy from a high paced, dynamic environment where we always search for optimization.
  • Enterprising, assertive, results-oriented, and proactive.
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English (spoken and written).
  • Analytical skills with a solid understanding of numbers.
  • IT affinity, with experience in systems and data (Microsoft Office, Tableau).
