Job description

As an Account Manager for the French market, you are responsible for driving commercial growth by developing new business and expanding existing strategic accounts. You own the commercial agenda for your market and actively build partnerships on both the sales and procurement side.


You work closely with internal teams such as supply chain, technical services, and the Trading department to turn opportunities into executed business. This role suits a proactive, deal-driven professional who enjoys opening doors, negotiating, and building momentum in an international setting.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth in the French market by acquiring new accounts and expanding existing customer and supplier relationships
  • Own the full commercial cycle from prospecting and opportunity development to contract negotiation and execution
  • Lead commercial negotiations on sales and procurement contracts, including pricing structures, INCOTERMS, and payment terms
  • Identify market opportunities, gaps, and trends, translating them into concrete commercial actions
  • Act as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts, with frequent on-site visits
  • Ensure strong day-to-day cooperation with the Trading department, aligning on pricing, supply chain, and technical services to successfully execute business
  • Represent the company at client meetings, trade fairs, and industry events

Job requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, account management, or commercial roles with a strong focus on business development
  • Native or fluent in French; professional command of Dutch is a strong advantage
  • Strong hunter mentality with a clear track record in acquiring new business and closing deals
  • Solid commercial negotiation skills and confidence in managing contracts and pricing discussions
  • Ability to read markets, identify opportunities, and act decisively
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across different cultures and seniority levels
  • Results-driven, resilient, and persistent, with a high level of ownership and accountability
  • Structured and disciplined way of working, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities in parallel
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the French market
