This Data Science position is embedded within the Analytics Team, which plays a pivotal role in developing tools and analyses that drive the day-to-day operations of Vitol. The successful candidate will leverage data science and machine learning to revolutionize how Vitol tracks and anticipates commodity movements across the globe.
While regular collaboration with the central Data Science team is expected, this role is uniquely positioned within the team of developers and analysts focused on vessel and cargo flows. This setup fosters knowledge exchange, process improvements, and regular interaction with various business units that depend on these analyses.
The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, ready to dive deep into data, build models, create visualizations, and deliver actionable insights as needed. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be motivated by seeing their work have an immediate impact on Vitol’s operations.
