As part of ING Wholesale Banking, the Client Coverage activity comprises the Financial Institutions, Corporate Sector Coverage and Real Estate teams. Together, they serve several hundreds of clients through a multi-product, multi-location strategy and focusing on long-term relationships. The Corporate Sector Coverage team serves large local and multinational companies.  


Within the Real Estate segment, the team supports Real Estate investment funds and key Real Estate players. The Financial Institutions team covers Private Equity Sponsors, Insurers, Asset managers, Depositary AIF’s and Banks. The facilities and products provided to our clients are varied in structure and complexity, which requires an adequate professional level of client coverage and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal data analysis to support strategic decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Prepare client pitch materials in collaboration with Relationship Managers, tailored to specific client needs and market opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of business committee documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
  • Perform market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks relevant to client portfolios and business development.
  • Support Relationship Managers in deal structuring activities, including financial modeling and documentation review.
  • Facilitate KYC (Know Your Customer) and Client Due Diligence processes, particularly in the context of account openings and entity onboarding.
  • Contribute to various ad hoc projects, providing analytical and operational support as needed.
  • Provide day-to-day assistance to Relationship Managers, helping to streamline workflows and enhance client service delivery.

Job requirements

  • Preference for candidates in their final year of study, with a strong academic track record
  • Prior experience through internships is of added value but not a pre-requisite
  • Detail-oriented team-player with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are required, any other additional languages are a plus
  • Looking for candidates with a strong eagerness to learn and who thrive in fast-paced environments
  • The successful candidate must have a right to work in the EU
  • Availability of 6 months minimum
