Job description

As a Power Portfolio Trader, you will be responsible for actively trading Eneco’s power generation and consumption portfolio in the European energy markets. Your primary focus is to optimize asset value, hedge market exposures, and mitigate price risk through strategic trading decisions. You will play a critical role in ensuring commercial performance while maintaining compliance with regulatory and risk frameworks, leveraging deep market insight and fast decision-making in a dynamic and high-impact environment.

As a Portfolio Power Trader, you will work within the Portfolio Trading Team for Eneco right next to Rotterdam-Alexander station. A complex, dynamic environment where ever-moving markets, ever-changing positions, new technologies, and the law of inhibiting head start create a challenging field of tension.

The Trading Team is part of horizontal chain Trading and Origination (T&O). Value Chain (VC) T&O is the international trading division of Eneco. With a diverse team of colleagues who are motivated and highly educated employees, we work on an optimal market vision that supports Eneco's sustainability goals. VC T&O forms a dynamic and complex working environment that requires a lot of initiative and insight. We interact quickly with each other in an informal, transparent and collegial atmosphere.

In a rapidly changing energy landscape, you and your team will shape the energy transition. A tough job, with challenging but achievable targets. We reward you for this with our good and modern terms of employment.
