Job description

The Truck Sourcing Specialist will perform moderately complex activities that ensure efficient transportation of materials and products from origin to destination. In this role, you will participate in the identification and selection of the most appropriate and cost-effective transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Control and track the transport of critical materials.
  • Apply a general comprehension of transportation and logistics practices and procedures to assist in the negotiation of freight prices and contract terms for customers.
  • Update transportation websites and databases for contracts, freight rates and estimates, insurance, and customer information.
  • Independently analyze current transportation operations practices to resolve process and cost improvement opportunities.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Job requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience (typically 3 years or more).

    • The expected salary for this position is $62,000 – $85,000.

    Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
